Welcome to our workshop!

All bikes benefit from regular servicing and maintenance to keep them running reliably and safely. Most people should service their bike once a year, however, if you ride regularly that might need to be more frequent.  Bikes purchased from Cycle Technology receive a free first service and safety check, approximately 6-8 weeks after purchase.

At Cycle Technology in Wakefield, we can service and repair most makes or models of bikes. Our team are all qualified to the highest industry standards and have years of professional cycle workshop experience. We keep a large stock of parts and accessories to help faster turn around times.

Important additional information:

Many of our prices vary due to the complexity of modern bikes. Some examples of this are listed below:

1. Bikes with cables & hoses routed internally, through headset bearings are more labour intensive and require all brake hoses and gear cables to be disconnected in order to remove the headset bearings, so a half hour job can easily become a 4 hour job, depending on the bike.
2. Internally routed drop bars are more labour intensive to fit than a riser bar due to hydraulic hoses running inside the bar so a simple bar swap becomes a double brake bleed plus handle bar taping.
3. Building a child’s 20” bike will take much less time than an adult’s full suspension custom build.

Any bike left for more than 2 weeks after job completion will be charged a storage fee of £20 per week. Any bike left for more than 8 weeks may be sold without warning to recoup costs associated with the repair of that bike.

Prices quoted are based on use of parts and materials supplied by Cycle Technology.  Should you wish to supply your own parts for a project please ask for a quote for fitting.

If you are bringing your bike in for a service/repair, please note that it must be clean.  If we have to clean it in order to be able to work on it, a minimum £10 charge will be added to the cost of the service/repair.
